For The Beginning DrummerÂ
Learn the fundamentals of drumming including proper grip, stick control and how to play a clean drum roll. We will focus on developing and refining all the skills you need to play with good tone quality, speed and confidence. After this 16 week class you’ll be ready to continue on your drumming journey with drum set, more advanced snare drumming or both.
This class is perfect for anyone with 6 months of formal training or less. We will have weekly performance goals for rudiments / technical exercises and apply what we learn to short solo’s as we progress to keep things fun and use your new skills in a real world way!

Â
For The Advancing Drum Set Player
Expand your drum set playing through multiple musical styles including; swing, funk, rock and world grooves.  Learn how to solo and move around the kit more freely and musically. There will also be an opportunity to learn songs of your choosing. For those who are beginners to drum set we also spend time refreshing the basics of set-up and maintenance of the drum kit.
This class is designed in a way that allows students to take the class multiple times and continue to learn new concepts and improve on their skills. Ultimately students feel much more confident in their ability to play in a live band and have more freedom to play the music they’ve always wanted to.
This course is perfect for anyone who has played drum set for at least 6 months OR anyone who has taken the drumming fundamental class that I offer.Â

A Message From Your Instructor
Hi! My name is Dan and I’m a Certified Music Teacher who Specializes in Percussion. I have a bachelors degree in Music Education and a Masters degree in Percussion Performance. I’ve taught every level from middle school and High school students to an SEC College Drumline.
I’ve been teaching private percussion lessons for over 20 years and have found that online courses like these, can be even more effective for students than traditional private lessons. The difference is, after a private lesson you go home and you’re on your own until the next week. These online courses are structured to provide students with more opportunities for support including weekly live instruction, Office Hours, a video lesson library and a peer drumming community. On top of that you get access to a master teacher who’s fully dedicated to your success, rather than having to choose a teacher based on their studio being close enough to your home and hoping they’re good. So, If you think one of these courses could be the right fit for you, register now before all the spots are filled up. If you have questions feel free to set up a free course consultation call.  I look forward to working with you and guiding you on your drumming journey!
